NEO development modules coming in Q2 2022

Fasetto Preview: Mass Effect Andromeda

March 15, 2017 by Fasetto

Blog imageWe love video games here at Fasetto and one of the biggest titles to come out this year is Mass Effect: Andromeda. Mass Effect’s award winning trilogy ended back in 2012 and gamers have since been long awaiting a new addition to the series so that they may dive back into its engaging universe.

The sci-fi game developer, BioWare, boasts that it is going to be the biggest and most ambitious entry into the series yet. Andromeda  has an all new story line, characters, planets, alien races, as well as new combat and character development systems. Combat has been retooled with a better and more agile cover-based style that even includes a jet pack! You will also be able to wield and modify an armory of new weapons, as well as unlock  new technologies, and powers to give you endless options and opportunities on the battlefield.

BioWare designed the game so new players will be able to jump in and play without having any prior knowledge of the previous titles. This game takes place “far away from and long after the events of the original trilogy.” Commander Shepard, the protagonist of the original games, will not be returning to save the Milky Way galaxy this time around. Instead you will play as either Scott or Sara Ryder who are twin siblings traveling to the Andromeda galaxy, as explorers in the Andromeda Initiative. Their mission is to find a new home for humanity. Exploration and discovery are going to be major focal points in this new game.

Mass Effect: Andromeda releases March 21st and as with most major releases nowadays there are multiple versions you can purchase. If you are just looking to buy the game, the standard version is $59.99. There is a deluxe edition for $69.99 that comes with digital bonuses to give you an edge in both single-player and multiplayer. The is also a super deluxe edition for $99.99 that includes all of the deluxe bonuses plus 20 “premium packs” to boost your multiplayer progression.

With the gamer’s best friend, LINK, you can wirelessly store and stream video game content to any device, anywhere! If that doesn’t blow your mind already, LINK can upgrade your current gaming system with a 2TB solid state drive and unlimited connectivity possibilities! You’ll be able to store your Mass Effect saved games or game captures (videos and photos) and take them wherever you go while saving space on your gaming system.

I appreciate when games are designed and named in a way that you can jump in and play without having any prior knowledge. (Mostly because I usually have very limited prior knowledge!)

Mass Effect looks like it can be a movie! I see why people play these games for hours upon hours. The prices aren’t bad either.
