Introducing Aquarius—the video engine that provides breakthrough, multi-angle videos by accessing cameras of connected devices within range.August 5, 2020 by Joe Bartolucci Aquarius is a file-sharing engine that’s part of Gravity™—a revolutionary device architecture that ads intelligence to a network and enables devices to access other devices’ resources like cameras and microphones.Devices share camera resources to create multi-angle videosIn this demonstration, we have multiple Android-based phones with Aquarius installed. Since Gravity creates an ad hoc, localized, Wi-Fi direct mesh network, all the phones instantly connect without an access point or the internet. All the devices are actually sharing their cameras and microphone with each other. When you see the main device displaying the multi-angle videos, that phone is actually accessing the cameras and microphones of those other phones. Aquarius gives important events a whole new watching experienceAquarius has a great practical application. If you are at an event with a few friends and they might have better seats than you, one could tap into those cameras and see the event from multiple angles. This can be great for sporting events, concerts, family events and has amazing implications for social media. Aquarius has a range of connecting with other devices of about 300 ft or 100 meters. If you wanted to extend the connection range, Gravity can use other Gravity-enabled devices as part of its mesh network to extend the range and use them as intermediaries to pass the signal along.A fresh new video format for social media. As platforms like Facebook, Instagram, TikTok and Snapchat take the lead in social media popularity, Aquarius’ unique multi-angle video format will take social media by storm. Providing their followers with video content from multiple angles will give influencers and social media users new ways to engage and publish content.Click here to learn more about Gravity and Aquarius
